About Learning the German Language

September 8th, 2008

The German language is among most widely-spoken world languages. It is also important as the language of science, especially as the language of philosophy. The German language is believed to have undergone several lingusitical shifts thereafter which would explain the development from Old High German to the more Modern High German. During this Old High German period many of the words were still being borrowed from Latin and the written documents showed what appeared to be monastery dialects. According to this Rocket German review, the German language is being taught at many schools across the country. Many schools in various cities enable children and adults to learn German in their neighbourhood.

The German language is spoken by approximately 120 million people. It is the official language of 6 countries and is spoken as a minority language of more than 25 countries. The German language is the key to both these different but complementary aspects of the nation. The German language is well enough adapted to the Latin.
